Linda Aagard presented 2014 USHCAM Award of Excellence

USHCAM presented its 2014 Award of Excellence to Linda Aagard, Director of Public Affairs at Huntsman Cancer Institute. Linda was honored at our traditional summer lunchtime barbecue at Shriners Hospital in Salt Lake City on August 26.

Linda Aagard has been an outstanding public relations professional in the health care sector for the past 20 years. She began her communications career with the Utah Diabetes Association, then the Utah Hemophilia Society before joining Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) in 2001. As HCI’s chief public relations officer, Linda has worked tirelessly to inform the pubic about issues relating to cancer. In keeping with the HCI mission of outreach, education, and patient care, Linda has worked to communicate important cancer-related information to both the public and to internal audiences.

The Award of Excellence is USHCAM’s highest honor and recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the cause of increasing health awareness in Utah and advancing the profession. Past recipients include the following individuals:
